A new version of Storegate Pro Backup is now available with several new features that make backups more efficient.
One of the main ones is the upload handling, previously a larger free disk space was needed as the application stored the entire encrypted backup locally before uploading. Nowadays, the local hard disk is not required to have space for the entire backup file, instead the zip archives (500 MB) are uploaded at the same time as the backup is running.
The program can now also run as 64-bit, which is useful for memory-heavy tasks such as backing up many individual files (>1 million) or for encryption and compression.
