3 tips for creating a strong password

Today is Password Exchange Day, a great opportunity to be reminded of the importance of having a strong password. It doesn't have to be that complicated, here are our top 3 tips:

  1. Don't reuse - Make sure you have different passwords for different services. If a site gets hacked, your password is on the loose, and it's nice to know it can't be used anywhere else. You won't have to change your password everywhere, and you'll avoid the risk of being hacked on several sites at once.
  2. Length - The password should be at least 12 characters long, but preferably longer. Instead of using random characters, use compound words and it will be easier to remember. For example, "Cheesebow ofcheddarlsolvesall99%".
  3. Strength - Combine upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

You do know that we also have two-step verification? You can activate it under settings when you are logged in via the website. Read more here.
