In January we will release the new version of Storegate's more advanced backup client, Pro Backup 2.0, which is used in the Backup Server service.
Cloud-to-cloud
In addition to a range of scheduling and job management improvements, it is now possible to back up external cloud services. Currently supported services include Amazon S3, Box, Google Drive, Google Cloud Storage, Openstack, Microsoft Azure, OneDrive and Rackspace.
Full image copy
In addition, there is support for full disk backup (full image copy) directly in the application, as well as the ability to backup to FTP, SFTP and WebDAV servers. Logging functionality has also been improved with notifications for better monitoring.
Storegate Pro Backup 2.0 will be released on 22 January and is included for all customers who purchase the Backup Server service.
