We are updating Storegate with more options for secure login, smoother file management and a brand-new backup app for Mac. The updates cover the Storegate web interface, Storegate Backup for Mac and Storegate Cloud Folder for Windows and Mac.
EFOS Support and Easier File Management on the Web
With SOSA R3, we are introducing support for EFOS, both for signing in to Storegate and for accessing files via public links. This means that organizations using EFOS can use the same authentication method when accessing Storegate.
At the same time, the web interface is getting improved search functionality, easier editing from file preview and better support for mobile browsers. We are also introducing email reminders 24 hours before public links expire. Sub-administrators can now restore all files in the account from the recycle bin.
New Storegate Backup for Mac – Your Entire Photo Library Is Included
Our new backup app for Mac is built from the ground up for macOS and optimized for Apple Silicon. A key new feature is that your entire photo library is backed up, including photos and videos that are only stored in iCloud when the “Optimize Mac Storage” feature is enabled. The app also features a new interface that provides a better overview and makes it easier to restore files.
Cloud Folder 5
Storegate Cloud Folder 5 now supports Windows on ARM64 and comes with a new MSIX-based installer. On Mac, support has been added for Liquid Glass as well as dark and tinted app icons. The app also features a new blue-and-yellow cloud icon and several under-the-hood improvements.
We want to make it easy to both work with and protect your files. These updates combine improvements that make a difference in day-to-day work with major new features such as EFOS support and our new backup app for Mac.
