Storegate, the Swedish cloud service for secure file management, today launches several innovative updates to its SOSA (Storegate Online Storage Application) platform. The new features focus on automated file management, improved user experience and increased flexibility in security settings, reinforcing the company’s commitment to offering GDPR-compliant solutions for Nordic users.
Among the most prominent new features of the Storegate SOSA R2 are:
Folder deletion policy: Administrators can now set automatic rules for how long files are kept in specific folders. Files can be moved to the trash or permanently deleted at a predetermined date, facilitating compliance and reducing unnecessary storage.
Preview Office documents in the browser: Users can preview Microsoft Office files directly in the browser without downloading them, saving time and increasing productivity.
Improvements in the signing service: It is now possible to adjust the sender and reply address before sending, along with updated flows for signing via BankID and Freja eID.
Support for password-protected PDFs: Users can open and view password-protected PDFs directly in the browser, with improved security and ease of use.
More flexible permission settings: In the permissions dialog, you can now choose not to inherit permissions from the parent folder, providing more granular control over access.
In addition to these, Storegate has recently released version 4.17.4 of Cloud Folder which includes minor bug fixes and performance improvements. Similar updates have been implemented in the app for Microsoft Teams and in the Outlook plugin.
