Employee interview: Dimitri

Meet Dimitri Katakalidis - Storegate's own photographer and front-end developer

There's no stopping our Dimitri. Whether it's Swedish, Greek or programming languages, he masters it all with flying colours. So far he has made a long journey in the programming world. He got his very first IT job in 2000 and until today he has gained a lot of experience in VB-script, JAVA, C# and today's Typescript. Dimitri is truly passionate about developing great web applications and with the expertise he possesses, we at Storegate are extremely excited to work with him.

I have always been interested in GUI and always want to create a good user experience for customers. I like to work at the forefront of technology so that you get the best and latest.

With his valuable knowledge in system development, Dimitri works primarily with Storegate's web application but also in some other internal projects. Dimitri always starts his workday with scrambled eggs and at least one black cup of coffee. Filled with new energy, he starts his computer at 07.00. Ready to take on whatever the day has to offer.

Storegate is a Swedish file service that is a good alternative to the big (foreign) companies. With us, all data is stored in Sweden and the laws surrounding these are exclusively Swedish.

It's no secret that our Dimitri also has a keen interest in photography. When he's not programming with us, you'll find him behind the camera, at the gym or with friends and family. Most of the time, he has his camera safely around his neck, ready to photograph his surroundings or his smiling colleagues. Much appreciated, we think.

Another major interest is travelling, which has not been much during the current pandemic. However, Dimitri is looking forward to visiting Greece and eating his favourite dish of oven-baked fennel-spiced salmon with salad, black beans and tzatziki. Sounds very good!

Thanks for a nice chat Dimitri. We at Storegate are really looking forward to continuing this very exciting journey towards future applications together!
